Bec Manson
Bec is a photographic digital retoucher/artist and founder of The Post Office, a small and mighty Post Production Studio based between LA , Colorado and NYC.
Now in their 4th decade, 4th Country and 3rd Continent retouching and creating digital art professionally in Photoshop, they have a client list that runs from Apple to IBM, Armani to Nike, Maserati to Harley Davidson - along with global publications like The New York Times, Vogue, GQ, Esquire, iD, Wallpaper, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, V Magazine, Dazed and Confused, Pop, Another Magazine, Rolling Stone, and W and with a photographer and Agency list to match.
In 2011, Bec traveled to Japan after the devastating Tsunami, training a team of local volunteers to hand clean and gathering a remote retouching team to digitally restore family photographs that had seemingly been lost to the waves. They presented at TEDGlobal 2012 in Edinburgh about what had been learnt during the project, the power that imagery and photography have on us and the connections we have with pictures. This program model has since been executed after several other natural disasters in the years since worldwide.
Named in 2021/22 by Luerzers archive as one of the best 200 digital artists worldwide and recipient of the SXSW Dewey Winburne Community Service Award in 2012. Their work has also received recognition from PDN, Communication Arts, Graphis, American Photography and the D&AD awards.
Bec lives in Santa Monica with wild animals named Franklin and Stewie, and climbs mountains and high things.
Lee Faircloth - Senior assistant retoucher
Lee is originally from the UK and moved to Colorado in 2016, connecting with Bec shortly afterward and working consistently with The Post Office since 2017.
Over the years, he’s had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects—from detailed portrait work to large-scale commercial campaigns. He enjoys the variety just as much as the problem-solving each job demands. That range has shaped him into a flexible, detail-driven retoucher with a strong appreciation for collaboration and creative thinking.
He loves the diversity in every project the team takes on, and looking ahead, he’s focused on expanding his abilities even further—pushing his technical range, refining his skill in tackling complex details, and continuing to take on work with The Post Office that challenges him creatively.
Since this picture was taken Lee has acquired two more dogs and one more cat, but thankfully still has the same husband.
